Store To Get A Facelift!
Siding
to be replaced at a deep discount. Capital campaign underway.
While
the inside of our little store is looking the best it has in decades, you may
have noticed that the exterior needs some TLC. For two years the CCF
Board has been tracking the decay of the store's fiberboard siding. The
siding is falling apart, as are areas of trim. If we don't address this
soon there will be costly water damage.
Now
we're pleased to announce a terrific opportunity to solve this problem. CCF
members Steven Streeter and Robin Wettengel have
arranged for most of the materials for this project to be donated free of
charge. This means we can re-side the building and replace all of the
trim at a cost of roughly $13,000, less than half the cost of our previous
bids.
The
siding will be James Hardie Hardieplank and comes pre-finished with an ultra
durable baked-on paint treatment. The siding is warranted for 30 years,
and the paint for 15 years. With the new roof we put on the store in 2009
and this new siding, trim and paint job, the Cottagewood Store will be in great
shape for another generation.
The CCF
Board has decided to act immediately in order to replace the siding by opening
day 2011. But we need your help to make this possible. We will be
financing this work with a short-term bank note, which needs to be repaid by
capital gifts. We're sure you agree that this is a fantastic opportunity
